Badger Forest Fire Station

Kelsey Structural provided the structural design of the Badger Forest Fire Station in Tulare County, CA. The fire station consists of two separate wood-framed, single-story structures, including a 2,100 square foot apparatus building and a 3,200 barracks building. The lateral force resisting system consists of wood shear walls, and the design is based on the 2016 CBC.

Ramona Water District Fire Station 81 Expansion

Kelsey Structural provided the structural design for the expansion and retrofit of the Ramona Fire Station 81. The project consists of expanding the existing apparatus bay on two sides and strengthening the overall lateral force resisting system with the addition of new steel moment frames and plywood shear walls. The project design will follow the provisions for an essential facility risk category IV per the California Building Code.
